S5 | 419: Headless E-commerce and the Customer Experience with Chris Bach, Netlify

About the Episode

Today we’re going to talk about headless e-commerce, and how it improves personalization, reduces friction, and drives greater loyalty.

To help me discuss this topic, I’d like to welcome Chris Bach, Co-Founder, CCO and CSO at Netlify a company that powers web experiences for major retailers like Victoria Beckham Beauty, Paul Valentine and Butcher Box.

About Chris Bach

Chris Bach, co-founder / CCO / CSO for Netlify started the company with his high school friend Matt Billman. Originally from Copenhagen, he noticed that the web experience will be more secure and scalable if it moved away from traditional monoliths to a new decoupled architecture. With this vision, he moved to San Francisco to provide developers the platform needed to mix and match tools and services in a composable architecture. Today the category counts thousands of companies and millions of developers and more than 3.5 million of them use Netlify to build, connect and run their digital experiences. Before Netlify he spent 14 years in the agency world, where he started Denmark’s first hybrid production agency and won many international awards. He is one of the originators of the Jamstack term, the category that lay the foundation for composable architecture. He stands behind services like headlesscms.org, TestMySite.IO, and jamstack.org and is creator of Headless Commerce Summit. He also sits on the board of the MACH Alliance.
